“As an extremely busy entrepreneur and first-time eye patient, it was refreshing to be “in & out” within an hour. I had my eye exam, my prescription and my frame choices all completed quickly and conveniently. Dr. Pope’s assistant made the frame selection easy and comfortable. In addition, the total cost was much less than anticipated!”

Payment Options

Parkwood Vision Center believes in providing the best value for you and your family. We have products and pricing that aims to accommodate all budgets and our office participates in most insurance programs. For patients who have little or no vision insurance coverage, flexible payment programs may be arranged. To learn more about our payment options, please call our office directly.

Our office accepts cash, check, and major debit and credit cards including MasterCard and Visa, as well as Care Credit.

No insurance? We have two great options for you!

  • Parkwood Vision Center offers a 25% self-pay discount on a comprehensive eye exam.
  • You can purchase your own VSP individual insurance policy by clicking here.

Insurance

Since there are so many plans and coverage varies widely, please call us to find out if your plan covers care in our office. Our staff will verify and explain your benefits before your visit at no charge. We also offer six months of interest-free payments for services or eyewear that was not covered, or only partially covered, by your insurance. Here are many of the insurance programs we work with.

Care Credit

The Care Credit card is available to help people pay for health care expenses, often with an introductory period that is interest-free. We accept Care Credit for all of our services. To learn more or apply for the card, visit Care Credit here.

Covid-19 Update

As we have been monitoring the COVID-19 developments and following recommendations from the CDC, I have made the decision to limit patient encounters starting March 25th. We will be contacting you soon if you have a scheduled appointment within the next two weeks. However, I will continue to be available for calls, orders, and true emergencies.

* IF you have red, irritated eyes (pink eye) or conjunctivitis, please contact me via phone, text, or email and I will discuss your findings and decide what course of action we should take.
* IF you have sudden changes in your vision, flashes of light, pain in your eyes, PLEASE CALL ME! Do not go to the Emergency Room unless you cannot reach me. They are generally not equipped to handle eye problems like I am.
* IF you have broken or lost your glasses or need more contacts, please contact me.
* IF you cannot reach the office or feel leaving a message is not sufficient, my cell number is 281-455-1623. You can email me directly at drpope@parkwoodvision.com.
* IF you have glasses or contacts here that need to be picked up and are unable to do so by 5pm Tuesday, please let us know so we can make arrangements with you individually.

Please understand, I am still here to serve you if needed, however, as we all do our part to limit the spread of this virus, this is the right course of action. Appointments for after April 6 will be addressed in the coming weeks as we learn more about the progression, or hopefully, control of this viral spread.

Thank you all for your cooperation, and understanding. With all of our efforts, we will be OK, and life will resume as we know it!

Best regards,

Dr. Pope and The Parkwood Vision Team!
